The Monsters-exhibition at Reykjavik City hall opened in July of 2007.


With the soft translucent monsters, maps of Iceland, hanging from the ceiling. I am trying to create these ugly portraits. Images of certain individuals, whose names I won't say. But each individual will recognize himself, as when one looks

a mirror. You are as you consume. The monsters seem to swim around- and encircle the viewer like a school of merciless oceanic animals, a flock surrounding it's prey. Throughout the building, the creatures reflect on the various glass areas, penetrate the innards of the building function, like the distant spirit of a feeding frenzy. An all-devouring monstrositiy of self indulgence, invasion and revenge.
